Our organization is a non-profit Association founded in 1973 for the purpose of serving the interests and welfare of its members who are owners and operators of rental housing properties. The Association seeks to protect private property rights from the inroads of government controls, and to inform and disseminate information to its members relative to the more economical operations and maintenance for their rental properties.

TENANT SCREENING – Landlord Membership in the organization allows you to obtain *credit reports and court records searches at a reduced cost for tenant screening. (*certain restrictions apply)
ADVERTISING – Co-op program available to members for reduced rates up to 50% off from the Everett Herald and membership recognition.
RENTAL FORMS – Available at our office at nominal cost to you to protect your legal rights, and help your business operate smoothly.
RESIDENTIAL LANDLORD/TENANT LAW BOOK – Available to the membership for purchase.
MEDICAL INSURANCE COVERAGE – The organization has available group rates for medical insurance coverage.
MONTHLY MEETINGS – Held the 3rd Wednesday of each month. Informative programs, authoritative speakers, question and answer periods, and a chance to meet your fellow members in the Association. Through education and high ethical standards, SCAOA is pledged to raise the professional standards and increase the efficiency of rental industry in Snohomish County.
ANNUAL “LANDLORDING 101” CLASSES - Tenant screening through “exiting” the tenant.
A VOLUNTEER “EVICTION” PANEL – A group of volunteers willing to help with the physical eviction, when needed.
MONTHLY NEWSLETTER – This publication includes timely articles of general interest written by authorities in our industry. Watch for interesting topics and meeting places.
COMMERCIAL MEMBERS – Offering you a selection of services and retail products at a discount.
REFERRAL SERVICES – If we can’t help you with your dilemma, we can refer you to someone who can.

WASHINGTON APARTMENT ASSOCIATION – WAA membership is the state association which represents local rental property groups throughout Washington State. Its goal is to preserve the free enterprise system and protect the owner of rental income property.
LEGISLATIVE REPRESENTATION – Your interests are served on vital issues by our State Legislative Lobbyist. The need for representation in the legislature on laws affecting the rental industry is a constant concern of our Association.
ARBITRATION PANEL – A group of volunteers capable of solving many of your landlord-tenant problems.
CREDIT UNION PRIVILEGES – Membership in the organization makes you eligible to belong to the SNOCOPE Federal Credit Union.
